About this event
Growing up comes with a lot to navigate. School, friendships, changing emotions, expectations, busy schedules, and an increasingly noisy world can make it difficult for girls to slow down and simply check in with themselves.
Girls Empowerment is a four-week Sunday afternoon series created to give girls ages 10–14 a supportive space to move, breathe, reflect, rest, and build tools they can carry with them into the week ahead.
Each 50-minute session combines gentle yoga, mindfulness, journaling, self-Reiki, breathwork, and calming practices designed to encourage greater self-awareness, confidence, emotional regulation, and connection.
This isn't about being perfect, always feeling calm, or having everything figured out. It's about learning to notice what we feel, discovering what helps us feel grounded, trusting our own voice, and developing simple practices we can return to when life feels busy or overwhelming.
What We'll Explore
Throughout the four weeks, participants will experience:
• Gentle, relaxing yoga and mindful movement
• Age-appropriate breathing and grounding techniques
• Guided journaling and reflection
• An introduction to self-Reiki and mindful touch
• Relaxation and restorative practices
• Strategies for navigating big feelings and stressful moments
• Self-confidence and positive self-talk
• Body awareness and connection
• Healthy boundaries and trusting our inner voice
• Simple calming practices that can be used at home or school
Each participant will receive a personal journal to use throughout the series and take home at its conclusion. Journal entries are personal, and sharing is always optional.
A Sunday Reset
There is intention behind gathering on Sunday afternoon. Before another week of school, activities, homework, and responsibilities begins, we're creating space to slow down.
To move.
To breathe.
To reflect.
And to begin the week feeling a little more grounded and connected to ourselves.

If your child is sick or isn't feeling well, please keep her home and allow her the rest she needs.
Give Her Tools She Can Carry With Her
We can't remove every difficult moment our kids will encounter. But we can help them discover ways to meet those moments with greater awareness, confidence, compassion, and connection to themselves.
Girls Empowerment gives participants a place to practice those skills together and, most importantly, begin discovering what helps them feel like themselves again.
